BURGER BUN....Bakery style

As we all are familiar with Bun. Bun is a round shaped plain bread that we can split and can make burger and sandwiches. This is one of the most important among fast food varieties. Now a days people have an habit of eating fast food like burger.Also it's very interesting to eat burger at night as a dinner with some fries, drinks etc.

We can also made burger at home by using patties. We can slice the bun into half and makes burgers and sandwiches portable and easy food to eat. The bun is made up of all purpose flour,yeast,salt, sugar,milk powder and warm water. Only this much ingredients needed to make perfect bakery style burger bun.

This recipe is very easy and simple. You can make this bun exactly like what we brought from bakeries /super markets. I tried this recipe last Friday.But I make some changes. My mom used milk for making dough. But instead of milk I used warm water and milk powder. It's very nice to see that my bun recepi is successful. It's exactly like bakery bun. It's very soft and perfect.

Lets follow my simple recipe and make home made bun ( burger bun ) perfectly  


INGREDIENTS

All purpose flour (maida) - 2 cup

Milk powder - 2 tbsp

Sugar - 1 tbsp

Sugar - 1/2 tsp

Sunflower oil - 1 tbsp

Warm water - 1/2 cup ( for mixing yeast)

Warm water - 1/3 for making dough

Egg - for grease

White sesame seed for garnishing.


PREPARATIONS:

∆ Take a bowl add  yeast, sugar and salt. Then add warm water . Mix well and close the bowl. Keep aside for 5-10 minutes .

∆ Take another bowl add all purpose flour ( maida), milk powder, sunflower oil.

∆ Add fermented yeast sugar and salt mixed water. Mix well with your hands 

∆ Then add 1/3 cup of warm water. Mix very well and make a soft dough by using hands.

∆ Apply sunflower oil on the top of the dough. Close the bowl. Keep it for 1-2 hours for fermentation.

∆ After 2 hours, open the bowl, arrange the dough into 6 equal balls.

∆ Take a baking tray, place a baking sheet, grease oil. Then transfer the each balls.

∆ Close the tray and wait for 1 hour. It's sizes become double after 1 hour. 

∆ Preheat the oven 200°c for 10 minutes.

∆ Take a bowl, beat 1 egg. Grease the egg on the top part of the balls(dough).

∆ Sprinkle sesame seeds on the top.

∆ Transfer them into the oven. Bake the dough  on 200°C for 20 minutes in conventional mode ( 2 coil heating mode in otg)


HOME MADE BAKERY STYLE BURGER BUN IS READY. THEN YOU CAN CUT INTO 2 SLICES AND MAKE DELICIOUS BURGER,/ SANDWICHES.


INSTRUCTIONS:


∆ You can add warm milk instead of warm water.

∆ If you are living in very coldest country, you can fermented the dough to 4 hours. If you want to save time, you can keep the dough in the oven for fermentation.( You can just keep your bowl( contains dough) in oven for 3 hours).

∆ Instead of greasing egg, you can choose milk. You can just dip your brush into the milk and apply on the top of the bun.

∆ If your bun didn't comes in  light golden colour on the top, You can bake the bun for again 3 minutes in upper coil heating mode ( 1 top coil heating mode) it's according to the  function of different oven.
