Chicken Kabaliyath is a Delicious recepi made with chicken and steamed rice. It's very popular in Arab countries. Now it is available in almost all part of the world. Now a days many people choose Kabaliyath as a party special rice, to treat their guest and loved ones. Kabaliyath rice is considered to be a very simple recipes that everybody can cook in their home by using few ingredients.
Chicken kabaliyath is very tasty and yummy dish. Once you taste it, you would like to eat again and again. It is another version of kabsa or Arabic biryani. In kabayith recepi, rice and chicken were cooked separately. Here long grain basmati rice is needed for making perfect Kabaliyath rice. While making chicken masala, kabsa masala powder/ Arabic masala powder is used. Kabsa masala/ Arabic masala powder is a popular spice powder added to most of the Arabic dishes. It is very popular spice mix of Arabs. So by using this Arabic spice powder, you get a unique flavour and taste for your chicken masala. The rice is cooked separately by using few ingredients. The rice with chicken masala gives a special outlook. In this recepi, the innermost part of the chicken fleshes were very soft and juicy and the external outlook of this masala gives an extra glazing. However, this pretty combination makes the dish very tasty and delicious.
Let's follow my simple recipe to make Arabian Chicken Kabaliyath.
Chicken - 1 kg
Onion - 3 medium
Capsicum - 1
Carrot - 1
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Green chilly paste - tbsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Kabsa masala/ Arabic masala - 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Chicken Maggy cube - 1 cube
Sunflower oil - 4 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Salt
FOR MAKING RICE
Long grain basmati rice - 3 cup
Water - 4 1/2 cup
Cardomom - 4
Cinnamon stick - 1 small piece
Cloves - 3
Lemon juice - 1 tbsp
Chicken Maggy cube - 1 cube
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Sunflower oil - 4 tbsp
Salt

INSTRUCTIONS
🔺 Use Kong grain basmati rice.
🔺 Rice should be soaked atleast 1 hours. It makes the rice soft and fluffy.
🔺 For making Kabaliyath, rice should be fluffed, soft and not stick to each other. Otherwise you lost its compete texture.
🔺 Try to use Arabic masala powder/ kabsa masala powder for making chicken masala for this dish. Arabic masala powder is available in almost every supermarket.
🔺 Use capsicum and carrot, It gives Special flavour and aroma.
🔺 It's better to cut capsicum in a long strips ( 1 inch long) and cut the carrot in a round shape.
🔺 While making rice, you must add lemon juice and ghee. It avoid overcook.
PREPARATIONS
• Take 3 cup of basmati rice, rinse and wash well. Then soak in a water for 1 hour.
• Take 1 kg Chicken, Cut them into medium pieces. Wash and drain well. Keep aside.
• Take a kadai, heat enough sunflower oil, add chopped onion and enough salt. Sault well until the onion turns to light golden colour.
• Add ginger garlic and green chilly paste. Mix well and Sault for 2 minutes.
• Add spices such as Turmeric powder, pepper powder, Coriander powder and Arabic Masala powder/ kabsa masala powder. Mix well and cook it for 5 minutes in a low flame.
• Add finely chopped tomato and mix well. Once the water from tomatoes comes, add chicken pieces and mix well.
• Add chopped coriander leaves. Then close the Kadai with tight lid. Cook it for 5 minutes.
• Then open the lid and add capsicum strips, carrots and chicken Maggy cube. Mix well and close the Kadai again and cook it for 20 minutes in a low flame. Remember to stir well every 2 minutes.
• After 20 minutes, open the lid and check the masala. If there is any water in your chicken masala then you can cook again 10 minutes in a high flame without lid and dry the water( don't make the masala too much dry). Remember to stir well every 2 minutes. Once the masala is ready, switch off the flame and keep aside.
• Take a pressure cooker, heat enough sunflower oil, add cardomom, cinnamon stick and cloves. Roast well. Then add enough water and salt. Once the water began to boil,then add lemon juice, chicken Maggy cube and ghee. After that transfer the soaked and drained basmati rice. Mix well and close the pressure cooker. Wait for first whistle. Then switch off the flame and keep aside for 10 minutes.
• After 10 minutes, open the pressure cooker and mix the rice well.
• Take a flat tray or plate, transfer the cooked rice into this plate. Then add chicken masala on the top of the rice. Then you can garnished with capsicum and carrots.
Tasty and delicious Arabian popular Chicken Kabaliyath is ready to serve. You can serve this dish along with some raita, salad and pickle.
