DRAGON CHICKEN IS AN INDO -CHINESE STYLE OF PREPARATION WHERE DEEP FRIED CHICKEN STRIPS ARE TOSSED WITH CASHEWS , VEGGIES AND SPECIAL CHILLY TOMATO SAUCE. IT TASTES THE SAME AS RESTAURANT STYLE DRAGON CHICKEN. YOU CAN MAKE THIS INDO- CHINESE  STYLE DRAGON CHICKEN AT HOME BY FOLLOWING THIS RECIPE WITH IN 30, MINUTES .

Dragon chicken is very popular chicken starter or side dish available in almost all restaurants and it have a unique tastes. It looks very appetizing due to its attractive red colour. I love this recipe so much. So whenever I prepare fried rice or chapati the side dish goes for dragon chicken. Its little spicy and juicy. The external outlook makes it crispy and inner most part is very soft and juicy. Dragon chicken is a spicy side dish. You can adjust the spicy level.

Dragon chicken is really a tasty appetizer for all who loves Indo - Chinese cuisine. It is made from chicken strips that are marinated and then fried and tossed in a spicy and juicy sauce. It can be served as either starter or side dish. If you want more gravy to this recipe, you can just doubled the sauce ingredients.

Let's follow my simple recipes to make yummy and juicy Dragon chicken which will make your tummy appetizing.

INGREDIENTS

BONELESS CHICKEN - 250 grm

ONION - 1 MEDIUM

CAPSICUM - 1

CARROT - 1

DRIED RED CHILLY - 3

CASHEWS. - 6

RED CHILLY FLAKES - 1 1/2 tbsp

GINGER GARLIC PASTE - 1 tsp

CHOPPED GREEN CHILLY - 2

SUNFLOWER OIL - FOR FRYING

TOMATO SAUCE - 1 tbsp.

CORNFLOUR - 1 tbsp

WATER - 1 CUP


FOR CHICKEN MARINATION


SOYA SAUCE - 1 tbsp

CORNFLOUR - 2 tbsp

ALL PURPOSE FLOUR - 3tbsp

EGG - 1

KASHMIRI CHILLY POWDER - 1 tbsp

PEPPER POWDER - 1/2 tsp

SALT 


FOR INSTANT SAUCE


SOYA SAUCE - 2 tbsp

TOMATO SAUCE - 3tbsp

HOT CHILLI SAUCE - 1/2 tsp

KASHMIRI CHILLY POWDER - 1 tbsp

👉 IN A BOWL , ADD ALL THESE  INGREDIENTS  AND  MIX  WELL.
INSTANT SAUCE READY.

PREPARATION 

Step 1

WASH THE CHICKEN AND CUT THEM IN A LONG AND THIN STRIP -1 INCH LENGTH. THE CHICKEN SHOULD BE CUT IN VERY THIN.

Step 2

MARINATE THE CHICKEN WITH 2 tbsp OF CORNFLOUR , 3tbsp OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR, 1 EGG ,1/2 tsp OF PEPPER POWDER, 1 tbsp OF KASHMIRI CHILLY POWDER ,1 tbsp OF SOYA SAUCE AND SALT AS NEEDED.
KEEP ASIDE FOR HALF HOURS.

Step 3

WASH THE CARROT AND CAPSICUM AND CHOP THEM INTO LONG AND THIN STRIPS  / STICK PIECE - 1 INCH LONG

Step 4

HEAT A PAN ADD  ENOUGH SUNFLOWER OIL  TO FRY CHICKEN.
THEN FRY THE CHICKEN UNTIL IT TURNS TO CRISPY.
WHEN CHICKEN IS READY...TAKE OUT FROM THE PAN AND KEEP ASIDE.

Step 5

IN THAT SAME OIL , ADD DRIED RED CHILLY AND CASHEW .ROAST IT.  BE CAREFUL ,NOT TO BURN CASHEWS. ADD1tbsp OF GINGER GARLIC PASTE AND CHOPPED GREEN CHILLY. SAUTE FOR 30 SECONDS.

Step 6

ADD FINELY CHOPPED 1 MEDIUM SIZE ONION .
SAUTE FOR 2 MINUTES.

Step 7

ADD CARROT AND CAPSICUM .
 THEN SAUTE WELL FOR 5 MINUTES.

Step 8

ADD THE INSTANT SAUCE
AND MIX WELL.

Step 9

TAKE A BOWL, ADD  1 tbsp OF CORNFLOUR  AND ADD 1 CUP WATER .
MIX WELL AND TRANSFER IT TO THE SAUCE .

Step 9

ONCE THE WATER IN THE GRAVY BEGAN TO BOIL ,STIR WELL UNTIL IT TURNS TO BE  A THICK CREAMY TEXTURE.

Step 10

ADD THE FRIED CHICKEN PIECES AND MIX WELL. TOSS WELL UNTIL THE CHICKEN PIECES ARE COMBINED WELL WITH SAUCES.

Step 11

ADD SALT AS REQUIRED.
THEN ADD 1 tbsp OF TOMATO SAUCE 
ADD 1 1/2 tbsp OF RED CHILLY FLAKES.
 CLOSE THE LID AND COOK FOR 3 MINUTES IN A VERY LOW FLAME.

Step 12

AFTER 3 MINUTES, OPEN THE LID AND MIX WELL WITH FORK.

THE TASTY AND YUMMY DRAGON CHICKEN READY.

YOU CAN SERVE EITHER IT AS A STARTER  OR IT AS A SIDE DISH WITH FRIED RICE AND CHAPATI.
